Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, but in between finals and getting ready to go home I didn't have much time to get into the christmas spirit at school. (Although it seemed that there was a christmas tree in every building on campus! So cute!) But now that I'm home for break I've made up for lost time by listening to Christmas songs via Sirius radio 24/7. I love country music, so a new find has been channel 58 Christmas Country.
A few of my new favorite Country Christmas songs:
Lady Antebellum Silver Bells
Alabama Christmas in Dixie
Kenny Chesney All I Want for Christmas Is A Real Good Tan
Taylor Swift Santa Baby
Tim McGraw Christmas All Over the World
And a few items on my christmas list....
The North Face Metropolitan parka. I used to see these around NYC all the time last year, and I really wanted one. Especially when it was only 10 degrees! I tend to wear skirts and dresses a lot so this jacket will protect my legs on those chilly days! I tried this jacket on and I love it because the material is so light! The jacket wraps you in warmth but feels like your only wearing a windbreaker!
J. Crew toothpick cord...slightly random for Christmas, I understand, but they'll go with so much! I was looking for them at the J. Crew in Friendship Heights, Washington D.C. but they were sold out in my size. Fortunately the employee helping me was nice enough to call the J. Crew store I shop at back home, in New Jersey, and had them held for me! Customer service is always a plus in my book.
I will proudly admit the only reason I noticed this perfume, was for its name. Eau de prep! I love it, and the bottle is cute too. I only just smelled the fragrance today and although it seems like the standard light perfume scent, with hints of citrus and fruit, it does has a bit of a woodsy feel to it too. (I was hoping it would smell of rich mahogany and freshly pressed shirts all at the same time...but no go.)
I've been searching for a new pair of shearling-lined moccasins to wear around campus when it gets colder. I've only heard good things about the classic L.L. Bean Wicked Good Moccasins. I think this hunter green color adds a pope of color while still being traditional.
I'm slightly obsessed with Bobbi Brown cosmetics, her products are fantastic! Plus, Bobbi Brown lives in New Jersey, specifically Northern New Jersey, as do I, so I have some bias. I received a few of the Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser samples over the summer and I loved it! I had super sensitive skin but this cleans softened it and really did make it glow! I tried to use the samples as long as I could! I also received the new Lash Glamous Extreme Lengthening mascara in a sample form, and loved it as well. It lengthened my lashes without making them piecey and stickly, it also added thickness another bonus!
Here's to (finally) getting in the holiday spirit!
Best,
Theresa
