Three and a half months felt like three and a half weeks

It's amazing how time flies. Its been almost five months since my first post, which I find impossible to believe as it feels like just yesterday. Although I started my blog in July, I became so busy getting ready to start my junior year of college at a new school that my blog took a backseat. Having completed my first semester at the Catholic University of America, I'm ready to take on this blog once again!

As I settle into a three week break of getting ready for Christmas, holiday baking, and trips to my beloved Big Apple, I'll be posting and tweeting galore!

But before I get ahead of myself, here's a brief recap of my 1st semester in DC!

No one said transferring schools would be easy, they just said it would be worth it (okay I've taken some creative liberties here.) At first it definitely wasn't easy entering a new school as a junior. And its hard when its assumed that you're a scared freshman and not a seasoned third year student. Luckily everyone was extremely welcoming!

The biggest difference between FIT and Catholic Univeristy? Living on an actual campus! I loved seeing all the trees and the fact that people really do play frisbee and flag football wherever possible. My many pairs of shoes took a brutal beating as I trekked my way through what I consider to be a big campus, as opposed to a series of buildings. Although I missed being within a 10 minute walking distance from Times Square and a short subway ride from Rockefeller Center, now I am a quick metro ride to Capitol Hill and my new love, M Street, in Georgetown.

Just some light packing before I headed to school. #priorities.

                                                           Tourist photo of course.

Representing my home state at the beautiful WWII memorial. If you haven't been it's a must see.

Lincoln Memorial, again a must see.

A trip to the National Zoo...it's free!! This picture represents how I felt post-finals to a tee.

I joined a fantastic sorority, my sisters are absolutely amazing!

Dressed up as Rosie the Riveter for Halloween...(can't stop the preppiness.)

Homecoming ball, pictured with two of my roommates on my left and a friend. Loving the black and white.

New friends at the Mistletoe Ball, love you all.

I still miss the views from my dorm in NYC last year.

This license plate seems to sum me up pretty well, it's fate that I found this car.
